Apigel contains as active ingredients: thymol – 0,5 % and excipients
The drug is made in the form of white to light gray gel-like mass.
The active ingredient, thymol, has a pronounced acaricidal and repellent effect against adult forms of Varroa destructor and Acarapis woodi.
The use of Apigel does not cause the emergence of resistant tick populations.
According to the degree of exposure to the organism, Apigel refers to low-risk substances, when used in recommended doses, it does not have a skin-resorptive, locally irritating and sensitizing effect. Apigel is not toxic to bees, in recommended doses it does not adversely affect the vital activity and productivity of bee colonies.
The drug Apigel is used for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in varroatosis and acarapidosis of honey bees in the spring and autumn periods in the presence of a minimum amount of brood.
Apply Apigel in spring and autumn. On the upper surface of the sealed bag, make 8–10 holes (3 mm in diameter) in a checkerboard pattern until gel drops appear, and place the bag at the bottom of the hive at the rate of 50 g (1 bag) per 10–12 nest frames.
For small colonies (up to 6 frames), offshoots, and nuclei, 25 g of gel is enough.
Carry out the treatment 2 times as the gel is removed by the bees (during the hive cleaning) after 5–7 days.
Do not use the drug less than 14 days before the start of the major honey collection to avoid the penetration of the drug components into marketable honey.
When using a product, the general rules of personal hygiene and safety provided for when using drugs should be observed. Smoking, drinking and eating are prohibited during the usage. Empty packaging from under the drug is prohibited to be used for household purposes, it is subject to disposal with household waste.
In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they must be rinsed with plenty of water.
People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with it. The drug is prohibited to be used for bees during the main honey harvest, there are no age restrictions.

Symptoms of drug overdose in bees have not been established.
Apigel should not be used in conjunction with other bactericidal drugs.
The specifics of the drug's action at the first intake or when it is canceled have not been established.
Violations of the doses and course of use of the drug should be avoided, as this may lead to a decrease in its effectiveness. In case of missing the next use of the drug, it should be applied as soon as possible in the same dose according to the same scheme.
Apigel is produced packaged, 50 g in hermetically sealed bags made of metallized film.
Store the drug in the original unopened container, in a place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 0 to +25 °C.
Keep the drug out of reach of children.
Use immediately after opening the package.
It is released without a prescription from a veterinarian.
The drug shelf life, subject to compliance with storage conditions in the original unopened container, is 3 years from the date of manufacture. Do not use the drug after the expiration date.
