Ascovet contains in 1 ml as active ingredients: terbinafine hydrochloride – 2% and excipients

The drug is made in the form of colorless to light yellow homogeneous liquid.


PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Askovet belongs to the group of fungicidal drugs.

Terbinafine hydrochloride, which is part of the drug, has a wide spectrum of antifungal activity, and is effective against bees’ ascospherosis and aspergillosis pathogens.

According to the degree of exposure to the organism, Askovet refers to low-risk substances, in recommended doses, it does not have a locally irritating and sensitizing effect.

Askovet is low toxic for bees, does not adversely affect the general condition, development and productivity of bee colonies.

DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

Apply Askovet in spring before the major honey collection or in summer, after the marketable honey extraction.

Administer Askovet with food in spring or in summer, under unfavorable weather conditions for beekeeping. For this purpose, prepare a “mother solution” before application by diluting 0,5 ml of the drug in 50 ml of boiled warm water, then add it to 1,5 liters of warm (35- 40 °C) sugar syrup prepared in a ratio of 1 : 1, and mix thoroughly. Feed the resulting sugar syrup to bees at the rate of 300-400 ml per colony 2–3 times with an interval of 3–5 days.

In summer, apply Askovet by spraying bees on honeycomb frames. For this purpose, before application, prepare a “mother solution” by diluting 0,5 ml of the drug in 50 ml of boiled warm water, then add it to 0,5 l of warm sugar syrup prepared in a ratio of 1 : 4, mix thoroughly and, using a fine-dispersion sprayer, treat the honeycomb frames with bees on both sides at the rate of 10–12 ml per honeycomb frame.

Treat the bee colonies 2–3 times with an interval of 3–5 before noon, at an ambient temperature not lower than +10 °C.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Do not use the drug less than 14 days before the start of the major honey collection to avoid the penetration of the drug components into marketable honey.

Adverse reactions and complications when using the drug in accordance with the instructions for use, as a rule, are not observed.

Symptoms of drug overdose in bees have not been established.

It should not be used in conjunction with other fungicidal drugs.

The specifics of the drug's action at the first intake or when it is canceled have not been established.

Violations of the doses and course of use of the drug should be avoided, as this may lead to a decrease in its effectiveness. In case of missing the next use of the drug, it should be applied as soon as possible in the same dose according to the same scheme.

When using a product, the general rules of personal hygiene and safety provided for when using drugs should be observed.

Empty packaging from under the drug is prohibited to be used for household purposes, it is subject to disposal with household waste.

In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they must be rinsed with plenty of water.

People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with it. STORAGE CONDITIONS

Store the drug in the original unopened container, in a place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 0 to +25 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Use immediately after opening the package.

It is released without a prescription from a veterinarian.

SHELF LIFE

The drug shelf life, subject to compliance with storage conditions in the original unopened container, is 3 years from the date of manufacture. Do not use the drug after the expiration date.
