The agent is made in a form of aerosol can equipped with a valve-spray system. It belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group – antiseptics and disinfectants in combinations.

Essential oils of wormwood, juniper and extract of Dalmatian chamomile (pyrethrum), which are part of Deztropisan, are used for dezacarization, disinsection, antiseptics and disinfection of honeycombs, beehives and beekeeping equipment, being environmentally safe. The balanced, specific composition of the remedy causes the death of imago mites Tropilaelaps clareae, Varroa destructor and Acarapis woodi, wax moth larvae. The antibiotic properties of essential oils on pathogens of viral, bacterial and fungal diseases of bees do not allow microorganisms to create their own defense mechanisms and do not contribute to the emergence of resistant forms, thereby creating safe conditions for the development of bee colonies.

Deztropisan has a prolonged effect, after application it forms a biocidal microfilm that retains activity for 1-2 days. It is safe for humans and bees.

According to the degree of exposure to the organism, Deztropisan refers to low-risk substances, in recommended doses, it does not have a locally irritating and sensitizing effect.

Deztropisan is used for dezacarization, disinsection, antiseptics and disinfection of honeycombs, beehives and beekeeping equipment in order to prevent the spread of tropilelapsosis, braulosis, varroatosis, acarapidosis, wax moth, infectious diseases of bees in the apiary.

The product is used in conditions of average daily ambient temperatures from +15 ° C to +25 ° C. The consumption rate of Deztropisan is 1 cylinder for 80 hives with honeycomb frames.

Before processing the honeycomb frames and beekeeping equipment, they are placed in the hives, all the air vents and vents are closed, then the lid is removed from the aerosol can, the valve head is pressed and the aerosol torch is directed inside, along each inter-frame space and on the walls of the hive, for 1-1.5 seconds. The processing of multi-body hives begins with the lower body, and then each subsequent one is processed as it is installed. After finishing the processing, the hive is covered with a canvas, a warming pillow and covered with a lid. The exposure is 1-2 days. After that, the processed honeycomb frames, beekeeping equipment and beehives can be used for their intended purpose.

After the use of  Deztropisan, adverse reactions and complications in the development of bee colonies are usually not observed.

Honey collected by bee colonies, where honeycombs and beehives treated with Deztropisan were used, is used for food on a general basis.

When using a product, the general rules of personal hygiene and safety provided for when using drugs should be observed. Smoking, drinking and eating are prohibited during the usage. Empty packaging from under the drug is prohibited to be used for household purposes, it is subject to disposal with household waste.

In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they must be rinsed with plenty of water.

People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with it. Do not use Deztropisan at the same time with pesticides and other disinfectants in order to avoid a decrease in effectiveness.

When carrying out treatments, personal protective equipment should be used: gloves, mask or respirator. Do not allow the product to get into the eyes. In case of contact with the skin and mucous membranes, wash off immediately with soap and water.

Deztropisan is produced packaged in aerosol cans with a capacity of 520 ml. Each consumer package contains a patient information leaflet. 

Store the drug in the original closed package, protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5 to +25°C.
