Vetcoccin 10 ml
Vetcoccin contains in 1 ml as active ingredients: Toltrazuril 50 mg, rutin 10 mg, and excipients.
The drug is manufactured in a form of a yellow-green suspension.
Toltrazuril is a triazin trione derivative. It has a broad spectrum of anticoccidial action, effective against all types of coccidia parasitizing in young cattle, swine, rabbits, dogs, and fur animals, including Eimeria spp., Isospora spp., Cystoisospora spp., and all types of coccidia parasitizing in poultry, at the stages of intracellular development of parasites.
The mechanism of toltrazuril effect consists in blocking respiratory enzymes and exerting a damaging effect on mitochondria and the processes of division of the coccidium nucleus. Toltrazuril, disrupting the formation of macrogametocytes, causes the death of the parasite.
After oral administration of the drug, toltrazuril is slowly absorbed and has a coccidiocidal effect on the mucous and submucosal membranes of the gastrointestinal tract.
Toltrazuril is metabolized by sulfooxidation and hydroxylation to form sulfoxide and sulfone. It is excreted from livestock and poultry`s bodies mainly in unchanged form – up to 70%, as well as in the form of metabolites with feces, droppings and partially with urine.
Rutin, a bioflavonoid with vitamin activity (belongs to the vitamin P group), has pronounced antioxidant and angioprotective effects. It helps strengthen capillaries, supports the vascular flexibility, improves blood clotting, thus reducing the amount of bleeding in the intestines. It suppresses aggregation and increases the degree of deformability of red blood cells, has an anti-inflammatory effect.
In animals, flavonoids undergo deep cleavage. Metabolism occurs in the small intestine under the influence of glycosidase enzymes and in the liver, where flavonoids form conjugates with sulfates and glucuronic acid and undergo an O-methylation reaction. Conjugates enter the systemic circulation and return through the gallbladder to the intestine. In the intestine and bile, the transformation of flavonoids into easily absorbed substances continues. Flavonoids are excreted from the organism mainly in the urine in the form of metabolites.
Vetcoccin does not interfere with the development of immunity, does not have a negative effect on the weight gain of livestock and poultry and does not act suppressively.
The drug Vetcoccin, according to the degree of exposure to the body, refers to low-hazard substances.

In case of severe course of the disease, the course of treatment is repeated after 5 days.
Before carrying out mass processing of poultry, each batch of the drug is pre-tested on a small group (3-5 heads) of different ages and weights. In the absence of complications, the entire livestock is processed within a day.
When applying the drug to poultry, it should be taken into account that the ready-made therapeutic fluid retains its therapeutic effect for 48 hours. During the period of the usage of the drug, the poultry should receive only water containing the drug Vetcoccin.
In farms unfavorable for coccidiosis, in order to achieve maximum preventive effect and reduce the number of oocysts released into the external environment, the drug should be prescribed to susceptible livestock and poultry before the first clinical signs of the disease appear.
In order to prevent re-infection of animals, it is necessary to observe sanitary and hygienic measures in places of their habitation.
When using the drug in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications in livestock and poultry, as a rule, are not observed. With increased individual sensitivity of the livestock and poultry to the components of the drug and the appearance of side effects and complications, the use of the drug is discontinued and desensitizing therapy is carried out.
In case of an overdose in livestock and poultry, there may be a decrease in appetite and water consumption, a disorder of the gastrointestinal tract. In these cases, general measures are taken to remove the drug from the organism and symptomatic treatment is prescribed.
Simultaneous use of the drug with other anticoccidial agents is not allowed. There is no information about the incompatibility of the drug with drugs of other pharmacological groups, feed and feed additives.
The peculiarities of the drug effect during its first use and cancellation were not revealed.
Violations of the drug administration regimen should be avoided, as this may lead to a decrease in its therapeutic effectiveness. If the next dose is missed, the use of the drug should be resumed in the same dosage and according to the same scheme.
Broiler chickens may be slaughtered for meat not earlier than 8 days, and turkeys, geese, and ducks not earlier than 16 days after the last drug administration. Calves, lambs, baby goats, and fur animals may be slaughtered for meat not earlier than 63 days, and piglets not earlier than 70 days after the drug administration.
The drug should not be used for breeding poultry, laying hens, young chickens older than 16 weeks of age; turkeys, geese and ducks older than 90 days of age, as well as adult ruminants with developed cicatricial digestion. It is forbidden to use the drug to laying chickens, due to the accumulation of the drug in eggs.
When using a product, the general rules of personal hygiene and safety provided for when using drugs should be observed. Smoking, drinking and eating are prohibited during the usage. At the end hands should be washed with warm water and soap. Empty packaging from under the drug is prohibited to be used for household purposes, it is subject to disposal with household waste.
People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with it. In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they must be rinsed with plenty of water. In case of allergic reactions or accidental ingestion of the components of the drug into the human body, you should immediately contact a medical institution (take the patient information leaflet or label with you).
It is forbidden to use the drug to females during pregnancy and lactation.
To rabbits and female fur-bearing animals, if necessary, the drug is used after consultation with a veterinarian in the second half of pregnancy.
