PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT
The drug Vetcyfline belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group: insecticidal agents in combinations. Vetcyfline has a contact insecticidal and repellent effect, is active against diptera insects: gadflies (Hypodermatidae, Oestrus ovis), mosquitoes (Culicidae), midges (Simuliidae), horseflies (Tabanidae), zoophilic flies (Haematobia irritans, Haematobia stimulans, Musca autumnalis, Stomoxys calcitrans, Wohlfahrtia magnifica), as well as sheep's fleece (Melophagus ovinus), hairworms (Bovicola ovis), lice (Linognatidae ovillus, Linognatidae pedalis) and ticks. Cyflutrin is a substance from the group of synthetic pyrethroids, an insecticide of contact and intestinal action, with a weak repellent effect. The mechanism of action of cyflutrin is to block the transmission of nerve impulses, which causes impaired coordination of movements, paralysis and death of insects. Diethyltoluamide is a highly effective universal repellent agent. It scares away and disorients ectoparasites, disrupting their perception of the smell of lactic acid, a metabolic product of animals. After application to the skin of an animal, the drug is distributed over the surface of the body and is slightly resorbed by the skin, which ensures its long-term insecticidal and repellent effect. The protective effect of the drug persists for at least 28 days after a single treatment. The drug Vetcyfline, according to the degree of exposure to the body, belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76). At the recommended dose, the drug does not have a resorptive-toxic and irritating effect on the skin. It is toxic to bees, as well as to fish and other aquatic organisms.
