Pchelodar gel balm for horses - COMBINATION DRUG FOR THE TREATMENT AND PREVENTION OF MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM DISEASES

The drug is used in horses alone or in the complex therapy of acute and chronic degenerative and dystrophic diseases of the musculoskeletal system of localized form, including: arthritis, arthrosis, osteoarthritis, osteoarthritis, synovitis, tendovaginitis, bursitis, and exacerbations of chronic diseases of the joints and tendons; to eliminate the inflammatory process at significant exertion, in bruises, hematomas, myositis, sprains, and ligament ruptures.

COMPOSITION AND FORM OF RELEASE

The active ingredients of the gel balm (chondroprotectors, propolis extract, camphor, levomenthol, and mint essential oil) quickly and deeply penetrate the tissues, providing long-term anti-inflammatory, chondroprotective, chondrostimulating, restorative, and analgesic effects on the horse’s joints.

Chondroitin sulfate sodium improves phosphorus-calcium metabolism. Is involved in the production of the bone and cartilage basic substance, inhibits the bone tissue resorption and cartilage degeneration process, accelerates the bone tissue recovery. Boosts the production of glycosaminoglycans, enhances the regeneration of the joint capsule and cartilage surfaces. Increases the fluid production in the joint, the mobility of affected joints, resulting in reduced pain syndrome.

 Glucosamine hydrochloride boosts the synthesis of glycosaminoglycan and proteoglycan of cartilage and also improves the production of hyaluronic acid in the synovial fluid. Promotes proper retention of calcium in the bone tissue, slowing the process of destruction and aging of the joint cartilage tissue.

Camphor when used externally has irritant, soothing, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic effects.

Levomentol when applied on the skin has some antimicrobial and antiinflammatory effect, followed by the reduction of pain syndrome and itching.

Gel balm promotes for the better blood circulation, additional nutrition and restoration of the cartilage tissue, stimulates the production of intra-articular fluid, and improves the mobility of the animal’s joints.

According to the degree of exposure to the organism , Pchelodar gel-balm refers to low-risk substances does not have a resorptive-toxic, cumulative and allergizing effect in recommended doses.Pchelodar gel balm contains as active ingredients: Chondroitin sulfate 5 mg, glucosamine hydrochloride 5 mg, camphor 10 mg, levomenthol 10 mg, and excipients.

Gel for external use. The drug is a homogeneous gel-like mass from white to cream color with the smell of menthol and camphor.

The drug is produced packaged in 200 ml in polymer vials, capped with screw-on lids with or without a dispenser, complete with a patient information leaflet.

DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

Apply a small amount of the gel balm on the injured areas with massaging movements once or twice a day until completely absorbed, for at least 2 – 3 weeks. Allow the horses to rest for 20-30 minutes after applying the drug. The treatment course is at least 2 – 3 weeks. The duration of therapy and the frequency of courses are determined by the veterinarian.

Animals should not be allowed to lick the drug and get it on the mucous membranes!

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Side effects and complications:

When using the drug in accordance with this instruction, they are not observed. With increased individual intolerance to the components of the drugs and the appearance of allergic reactions, its use should be discontinued.

Contraindications:

Individual hypersensitivity to the components. It should not be used in pregnant, lactating and productive animals.

Interaction with other products:

The use of the drug does not exclude the use of other drugs of etiotropic, pathogenetic and symptomatic therapy.

Specific instructions:

Do not apply the drug to damaged skin and mucous membranes.

When using a product, the general rules of personal hygiene and safety provided for when using drugs should be observed. Smoking, drinking and eating are prohibited during the usage. Empty packaging from under the drug is prohibited to be used for household purposes, it is subject to disposal with household waste.

People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with it. In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they must be rinsed with plenty of water. In case of allergic reactions or accidental ingestion of the components of the drug into the human body, you should immediately contact a medical institution (take the patient information leaflet or label with you).

The unused drug is disposed of in accordance with the requirements of the legislation. Empty packaging from under the drug is prohibited to be used for household purposes, it is subject to disposal with household waste.

Use the drug only for its intended purpose.

STORAGE CONDITIONS

Store the drug in the original closed package, protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 0 to +25°C.

SHELF LIFE

The shelf life under storage conditions is 36 months. The production date is indicated on the bottle. It is released without a prescription from a veterinarian.
