The wax melter is a rectangular container in which an inclined tray (baking tray) made of GALVANIZED steel is installed. One of the ends of the tray is closed with a metal mesh. The mesh prevents the non-melted wax from entering the wax collection tray. The pallet is installed under the tray from the side of the grid. Wax raw materials (culled honeycombs, clippings from a wax frame, etc.) intended for wax production are laid out on the tray. The solar wax stove is covered with a lid from above.

In a solar wax melter, under favorable conditions, a temperature of up to 100 degrees Celsius is created. Wax, melted under the influence of high temperature, flows down the tray into the tray.

The slope of the wax stove towards the sun should be maintained in a certain position (at an angle of approximately 36 degrees). If during the day it is not possible to constantly adjust the installation of the wax melter in the desired position relative to the sun, then it is best to install it in the direction of the south. With such an installation of a wax melter in the summer months, the highest temperature on a sunny day in it is reached at about 13-14 o'clock in the afternoon.
