COMPOSITION AND FORM OF RELEASE

Trade name of the drug : Nezamin

International nonproprietary name: rimantadine, lysine, methionine, tryptophan, pyridoxine.

1 Nezamin tablet contains rimantadine hydrochloride 5 mg, L-lysine hydrochloride 48 mg, methionine 24 mg, L-tryptophan 18 mg, and pyridoxine hydrochloride 1.8 mg as active ingredients, as well as excipients.

The drug is made in a form of a round-shaped tablet from white to cream color. A yellowish tint is allowed.

PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Essential amino acids, pyridoxine hydrochloride, and rimantadine hydrochloride, which are part of the drug composition, strengthen the immune system of the bees’ organism and improve the bees’ resistance to diseases, increase their strength and productivity, as well as contribute to the successful wintering of bee colonies.

Rimantadine hydrochloride is an antiviral agent. It prevents the development of seasonal viral diseases and weakening of the immune system.

L-lysine hydrochloride promotes intensive calcium absorption, muscle protein building, collagen and antibody formation, carbohydrate metabolism, as well as the production of hormones and enzymes by the body.

L-tryptophan affects the regulation of reproductive function and contributes to the normalization of the synthesis of serotonin, nicotinic acid, and other compounds required for the body’s functioning. Methionine plays an essential role in metabolic processes and muscle mass growth, promoting juveniles’ rapid growth.

According to the degree of exposure to the organism, Nezamin refers to low-risk substances, in recommended doses, it does not have a locally irritating and sensitizing effect.

DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

Nezamin is used for therapeutic and preventive purposes to strengthen the immune system of the bees’ organism, stimulate the egg production of queens, help the bee colonies recover from illnesses and poisoning, extend the life expectancy and productivity, ensure a safe recovery from wintering, and in the absence of bee bread in colonies.

This drug should not be administered less than 14 days before the start of the major honey collection in order to avoid the penetration of drug components into marketable honey.

Nezamin is used mixed with sugar syrup in the spring (April-May) before the major honey collection and at the end of summer (August-September) after the honey extraction at the rate of 2 tablets per bee colony comprising 10 frames.

Prepare the drug syrup immediately before use. To do this, crush 2 Nezamin tablets thoroughly and dissolve them in 50 ml of warm water (35–40 °C) until dissolved completely, then mix it with 1 liter of sugar syrup prepared in a 1 : 1 ratio and feed bees from clean feeders at the rate of 100 ml per 1 frame with bees 4–5 times with an interval of 2–3 days. STORAGE CONDITIONS

Store the drug in the original unopened container, in a place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 0 to +25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.

It is released without a prescription from a veterinarian.

The unused drug is disposed of in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.

SHELF LIFE

The drug shelf life, subject to compliance with storage conditions in the original unopened container, is 3 years from the date of manufacture.
