UNIROY
To improve the acceptance of queens in bee colonies when they are placed in a hive
Gel containing geraniol, citral, geranic acid, and excipients. Uniroy is a product intended for the treatment of fertile and infertile queens before placing them in queenless bee colonies, as well as for attracting and catching swarms in apiaries during the swarming period for bee colonies.
1. For placing queens. Treat the belly of the placed queen with a drop of fresh honey and Uniroy, using a not very sharp wooden stick and observing the rules of precaution. Place the treated queens in the middle of the nesting frames, on top, lifting the canvas, or in Titov’s cell.
2. To attract and capture swarms. At the beginning of the expected swarming period, apply 1 g (~1/4 teaspoon) of the gel to the bee bob in the form of a circle with a diameter of ~4–5 cm and refresh it daily during the entire swarming period.
When using the product in swarming baskets, apply 10 g (~2 teaspoons) of the gel once onto the inner surface of the swarming basket.
Hang the treated swarming baskets on poles or on trees 3–5 meters above the ground from the side of the prevailing winds at a distance of 100–800 meters away from the apiary. Inspect the swarming baskets at least once every two days.
Open the package only in the apiary, immediately before application. Uniroy does not evoke side effects and complications in bees when used in accordance with the instructions.
