The active substances of the drug provide effective protection of the animal from ectoparasites (mosquitoes, midges, mosquitoes, flies, horseflies, fleas, lice, hair eaters, ticks).
Diethyltoluamide has a pronounced repellent effect against ectoparasites due to a sharp, unpleasant odor that irritates and blocks their sense of smell, as a result of which insects lose the ability to find a victim (animal). The concentration of diethyltoluamide in the preparation (200 mg / ml) is effective for repelling ticks.
The mechanism of repellent and insecticidal action of essential oils on ectoparasites is due to the presence of a high content of aldehydes and terpenes in them.
Citronella essential oil contains monoterpene aldehyde citronellol, which has a pronounced antimicrobial, fungicidal, anti-inflammatory, decongestant, analgesic and repellent effect.
Carnation essential oil has insecticidal and repellent properties due to the high content of eugenol, caryophyllene and methyl salicylate.
Lavender essential oil contains a large number of esters of monoterpene alcohols, ketones. Possessing antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, lavender oil effectively eliminates itching and irritation of the skin, prevents the growth of bacteria.
Fir essential oil contains cineol, camphor, borneol, terpineol, which have a pronounced anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, wound healing, deodorizing, repellent and insecticidal effect, due to the repellent and insecticidal properties of the active components, the drug prevents the occurrence of vector-borne diseases in animals (hemobartonellosis, dirofilariasis).
