Antifungal and anti-allergic shampoo for pets is used for dogs and cats for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes:
- for dermatomycoses of various etiologies, including candidiasis;
- with superficial dermatitis and eczema caused by a mixed pathogenic microflora, as well as associated with the lack of proper skin and hair care, in the subacute and chronic course;
- with seborrheic dermatitis, folliculitis;
- for bacterial and parasitic dermatitis complicated by allergic reactions, as part of complex therapy;
- with atopic and allergic dermatitis, accompanied by hyperkeratosis, lichenization, peeling, itching, inflammation of the skin, responding to corticosteroid therapy.
The drug is also used for preventive care of the skin and fur of pets with a tendency to fungal and allergic dermatitis (including pronounced keratolytic effect, deep cleansing and moisturizing of the skin, elimination of itching and unpleasant odor of the pets, reduction of secondary pathogenic microflora).
Antifungal and anti-allergic shampoo for pets
contains in 1 ml as active ingredients: ketoconazole - 20 mg, betamethasone dipropionate - 0.1 mg and excipients: sodium laureth sulfate, isopropyl alcohol, dimethyl sulfoxide, cocamide DEA, cocamidopropyl betaine, polyquaterni}^ 7, pyroktone olamine, citric acid, Trilon B, B-panthenol, methyl chloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone, allantoin, fragrance, dye, sodium chloride, purified water.
The drug is made in a form of homogeneous from pink to red-brown gel-like mass.
Antifungal drugs in combinations.
A combined product for external use, which has an antifungal, antipruritic, anti-inflammatory, keratolytic and antiperchotic effect. The therapeutic effect of the drug is due to the pharmacological properties of the active substances included in its composition.
Ketoconazole is a synthetic derivative of imidazole-dioxolan. It has a fungicidal and fungistatic effect. The mechanism of effect consists in inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol and changing the lipid composition of the fungal cell membrane. It is active against pathogens of some dermatomycoses (Trichophyton spp., Micosporum spp., Epidermophyton spp.), yeast and yeast-like fungi (Malassezia furfur, Malassezia pachydermatis, Candida spp., Cryptococcus spp.), Gram-positive cocci (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.).
Betamethasone dipropionate is a synthetic fluorinated glucocorticoid. It has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antiallergic and antiexudative effects. The mechanism of effect of betamethasone dipropionate is to suppress the activity of various tissue-destroying enzymes - proteases and nucleases, matrix metalloproteinases, hyaluronidase, phospholipase, inhibition of the synthesis of prostaglandins, kinins, leukotrienes and other inflammatory mediators from arachidonic acid. Promotes the stabilization of lysosomal membranes, thereby reducing the concentration of proteolytic enzymes in the area of inflammation. It reduces capillary permeability due to histamine release. It suppresses the activity of fibroblasts and the formation of collagen. It inhibits the activity of phospholipase A2, which leads to the suppression of the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes. Suppresses the release of COX (mainly COX-2), which also helps to reduce the production of prostaglandins.
With the cutaneous use of the drug in therapeutic doses, the transdermal absorption of active substances into the blood is very insignificant. The presence of inflammatory and other pathological processes on the skin enhances the absorption of the active substances of the drug.

Moisten the coat with warm water, apply the shampoo evenly over the entire surface of the body with massaging movements, slightly rub until it foams, avoiding contact with the mucous membranes. After 5-10 minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water, dry and comb the coat.
Depending on the pathology, the treatment of the animal must be repeated every 5-7 days to achieve the optimal therapeutic effect until clinical recovery. 1-2 treatments of the animal per month are sufficient to prevent skin diseases of various etiologies.
Side effects and complications when using the drug in accordance with this instruction, as a rule, are not observed.
With increased individual sensitivity of the pet to the components of the drug, the following side effects are possible: itching, burning, dry skin, the appearance of allergic reactions. With prolonged continuous use of the drug, acne-like changes, skin atrophy, hypopigmentation and secondary infections of the skin may develop. If side effects and complications occur, it is necessary to stop using the drug and conduct symptomatic therapy.
Contraindication to the use of the drug is an individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (including in the anamnesis). It is prohibited to use the drug to pets with open wounds, ulcerative lesions and skin post-vaccination reactions, as well as puppies and kittens under the age of 6 months. It is not allowed to get the drug into the oral cavity and eyes of the pet.
Symptoms of overdose with external use of the drug have not been identified. In case of accidental ingestion of the drug and the appearance of signs of intoxication, general measures aimed at removing the drug from the organism are used, enterosorbents and symptomatic therapy are prescribed.
For females during pregnancy and feeding the offspring, the drug is used under the supervision of a veterinarian based on an assessment of the ratio of the expected benefit to the possible risk of its use.
The drug should not be used in combination with other drugs for external use containing corticosteroids.
The specifics of the drug's action at the first intake or when it is canceled have not been established.
Violations of the dosage and the drug administration regimen should be avoided, as this may lead to a decrease in its effectiveness. In case of missing the next use of the drug, it should be carried out as soon as possible in the same dose and according to the same scheme.

People with hypersensitivity to the components of the drug should avoid direct contact with it. In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they must be rinsed with plenty of water. Empty packaging from under the drug is prohibited to be used for household purposes, it is subject to disposal with household waste.
The drug is produced packaged in 100 ml in polymer vials or bottles of the appropriate capacity, capped with screw-on lids (a lid with a dispenser is allowed). Bottles of 100 ml are produced packed in individual cardboard packs.

Store the drug in the original closed package, protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 0 to +25°C.
The shelf life under storage conditions in the original closed package is 3 years from the manufacturing date.
