Antifungal shampoo with propolis for animals has an antiseptic, antifungal, antibacterial, antipruritic and deodorizing effect on the skin of animals.
Ketoconazole is an artificially synthesized imidazole–dioxolan derivative.
The mycostatic effect of ketoconazole occurs due to inhibition of the biosynthesis of ergosterol, phospholipids and triglycerides in fungi, which leads to irreversible changes in the composition of membranes and impaired permeability of the cell wall. Ketoconazole has a pronounced antifungal effect against dermatophytes (Trichophyton verrucosum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton equinum, Microsporum canis, Microsporum gypseum), yeast (Candida spp., and Malassezia spp.) and dimorphic fungi.
Pyrokton olamine is active against fungi Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton verrucosum, Microsporum canis, Microsporum gypseum and others, bacteria E.coli, Salmonella spp., Proteus spp., Klebsiella spp., Enterobacteriacea spp. and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
It prevents dandruff.
Propolis extract, which is part of the shampoo, has an antibacterial and antimycotic effect. Being a source of vitamins, organic acids and trace elements, it actively nourishes, heals the skin and wool, improves their structure, providing a flawless appearance, softness and gloss.
Propolis extract also prolongs the action of pyroktone olamine.
Herbal extracts relieve inflammation, irritation and itching. Gently moisturize, soothe and restore the skin.
D-panthenol (Provitamin B5) helps to restore the structure of the skin in case of violation of its integrity (cracks, dermatitis, burns, etc.), protects against drying out and peeling. The active components of the shampoo provide normalization of the water-lipid balance of the skin, deep hydration of the coat and prevent excessive molting in the animal.
When applied to the skin and coat of an animal, the active components of the shampoo have a short-term contact effect against microorganisms in the places of their localization.
Moisten the coat with warm water, apply the shampoo evenly over the entire surface of the body with massaging movements, slightly rub until it foams, avoiding contact with the mucous membranes. After 5-10 minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water, dry and comb the coat. Depending on the pathology, the treatment of the animal must be repeated every 5-7 days to achieve the optimal therapeutic effect until clinical recovery. 1-2 treatments of the animal per month are sufficient to prevent skin diseases of various etiologies.
When using the drug in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications are not observed. In case of increased individual sensitivity of the body to the components of shampoo or in case of allergic reactions, the animal must be thoroughly washed under running water with detergent and stop using shampoo.
Contraindications:
Individual hypersensitivity to shampoo components. The shampoo is not intended for use by food-producing animals. Use for animals younger than 3 weeks of age
Symptoms of overdose in animals were not detected.
Since the components of the shampoo are practically not absorbed during external use, the use of shampoo during pregnancy and lactation is not contraindicated.
Data on incompatibility with other detergents are unknown. It is allowed to use shampoo in conjunction with other etiotropic and pathogenetic agents.
