Pchelodar (shampoo) against fleas and ticks for dogs and cats

Пчелодар (шампунь) от блох и клещей для собак и кошек

Pchelodar (shampoo) is used to eliminate fleas, lice, and ticks parasitizing on dogs and cats. The shampoo quickly destroys both adult and larval phases of development of fleas, lice, and Trichodectidae.

It is also used to prevent re-infection of animals with ectoparasites in their places of detention (processing of bedding, clothing, etc.).

The remedy is used for animals from the age of 2 months.

COMPOSITION AND FORM OF RELEASE

Pchelodar contains in 1 ml as active ingredients: permethrin 2.5 mg; excipients: propolis extract, St. John’s wort extract, nettle extract, chamomile extract, sodium laureth sulfate, cocamidopropyl betaine, cocamide DEA, sodium chloride, D-panthenol, disodium EDTA, citric acid, perfume compound, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methynemethylisotone, purified water.

The shampoo is made in a form of a homogeneous, gel-like mass without impurities from light yellow to light brown in color with an herbaceous floral smell.

PHARMACHOLOGIC EFFECT

Pchelodar (shampoo) is an antiparasitic drug designed to kill fleas, lice, Trichodectidae and ticks that parasitize dogs and cats.

Permethrin, the active substance of the drug, which is an insecticidal and acaricidal agent of contact, belongs to the group of synthetic pyrethroids. It disrupts the ionic permeability of sodium channels, slows down the repolarization of the membranes of nerve cells of ectoparasites, which leads to their paralysis and death.

The natural components of the shampoo (propolis extract, chamomile, nettle and St. John's wort extracts) have an antipruritic, deep moisturizing and nourishing effect on the skin and coat of the animal; provide normalization of the water-lipid balance of the skin and elimination of unpleasant specific odor of the animal.

D-panthenol (provitamin B5), which is part of the shampoo, soothes and restores the structure of the skin in case of violation of its integrity (combs, wounds from ectoparasite bites, etc.), protecting against irritation and inflammation.

When applying shampoo to the animal's skin and coat, the active substance (permethrin) has a contact effect on ectoparasites in the places of their localization.

According to the degree of exposure to the organism, Pchelodar refers to low-risk substances, in recommended doses, it does not have a locally irritating and sensitizing effect.

DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

Moisten the animal’s skin and coat abundantly with warm water, then apply the shampoo at a dose of 0.5 to 1 ml per 1 kg of the animal’s body weight (to treat the long and thick coat take 1 ml/kg), distribute over the entire body, and slightly rub until it foams. Avoid contact of the shampoo with the mucous membranes and do not let animals lick it. After 3-5 minutes, rinse the coat thoroughly with warm water, comb, and dry.

To prevent reinfection of the animal with ectoparasites, replace or treat beddings with the shampoo diluted with water in a 1:2 ratio with a consumption rate of 10 ml/m2. Do not allow the animal to come into contact with the bedding within 2-3 days and wash it with a detergent before use.
